D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a National Training Manager-Title. The right candidate is responsible for managing the training team in the development and implementation of training programs for new and existing employees. Assess training needs, develop hard and soft-skill training curriculum, track mandatory attendance, respond to investor and agency audits, and act as an interdepartmental liaison. Communicate relevant system release notes and changes in policy and procedure to the appropriate teammates to ensure consistency.


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Oversee the development and maintenance of curriculum, agenda, communication, and participation for on-site training programs, live virtual sessions, on-demand courses, and mandatory regulatory training, i.e.:

  • New Hire Orientation

  • Start Right Training

  • Title Mastery

  • Process Change Training

  • Software and Technical System Training

  • Regulatory Lessons

  • Optional Professional Development Topics

  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of all training programs and adjust the curriculum, as necessary. Report results to appropriate managers and the National Operations Manager

  • Ensure coverage is assigned and supervised for technical and educational support to Production via the Title Training Inbox

  • Coordinate with National Trainers for on-site trainings to be conducted and facilitate the feedback for the branch and/or center post-training

  • Oversee the maintenance of the Training topic on the DHI HUB with updated resources and training materials

  • Support the research and development of Title software enhancements, as needs are identified, to enhance efficiency and/or to resolve identified “bug” issues. Test software enhancements and provide testing results when IT has completed programming. Review and approve system release notes and announce to the field

  • Oversee the needs assessment, creation, approval, and distribution of pertinent Training Announcements to the appropriate recipients

  • Ensure the National Trainers keeps the team informed of all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to training content and incorporate any necessary updates

  • Work closely with all other DHI business units and departments to ensure that training technology and curriculum standards are consistent

  • Perform special projects as assigned by the National Operations Manager

  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

  • Ability to travel overnight

Qualifications

 

Education and/or Experience



  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent

  • Ten plus years of related management experience

  • Demonstrate an elevated level of professional writing, proofreading, and editing skills to produce informational and educational content for job guides and national communication

  • Exhibit an advanced knowledge of various mortgage systems

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Engaging presentation and learning facilitation skills

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications

  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

  • Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision

  • The noise level is generally moderate
