Job Description
McBride Homes is seeking an experienced residential structural engineer that is an expert in CAD to lead a design team that specializes in wood component manufacturing. This new role will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and value engineering residential plans that include single family, townhomes, and some small multifamily. This leadership role will oversee preparation of both structural drawings and truss/panel manufacturing drawings to create an efficient workflow from paper to the built wall panels for installation. Deliverables will include engineered plans, as well as output files that will directly input into the manufacturing machines. It is critical that this role leads the engineering from design to production and works directly with the field for easy installations. This is an on-site position located at our corporate office in Chesterfield.
